Chinese Ambassador to Zimbabwe Met with Mr.Meng Qinglin, GM of Sinoma Overseas

On May 16, 2016 local time, Mr.Huang Ping, Chinese ambassador to Zimbabwe, met with Mr. MengQinglin, G.M. of Sinoma Overseas Development Company. Mr.Zhang Xiaohan, secretary of the Economic and Commercial Counsellor’s Office of Chinese Embassy in Zimbabwe was presented at the meeting.

 

During the meeting, Mr. MengQinglin reported to Mr. Huang Ping about the progress of the PPC MSASA project, introduced the history of Sinoma International and Sinoma Overseas in “going global”, expressed the willingness for development in Zimbabwe in the future, and hoped to know better about the political and economic environment in Zimbabwe through the Embassy. Mr. Huang Ping introduced the natural and social environment of Zimbabwe, its political conditions, economic situations, localization policies, relationship with China, and cultural conditions.

 

While discussing the government-cooperated projects, Ambassador Huang said that during Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit to Zimbabwe, the high-level agreement reached between the two countries will include more assistance and investment projects in Zimbabwe. He suggested the company fully communicating with the Ministry of Commerce and paying close attention to major projects to be launched soon in Zimbabwe such as the North-South Highway (connecting Zambia and South Africa), so as to seek investment opportunities. During this process, the Embassy to Zimbabwe will offer Chinese enterprises full support.
